WIC provides supplemental food, health care referrals, and nutrition education for income-eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five. The program is linked to positive birth outcomes and enhances the overall health of pregnant women, new mothers, and infants. Fathers, grandfathers, foster parents, or other caregivers may apply on behalf of children under age five who are in their care.
Benefits offered by WIC:
Breastfeeding mothers can also receive the following services:
Benefits are now issued on a WIC EBT card called an eWIC card. Click here to access a link with more information on the eWIC card. Click here for information on WICconnect, a website dedicated to eWIC users. Lost eWIC benefit cards can be replaced by mail or by calling the WIC office to arrange a pick-up.
Participants scheduling certification or recertification appointments may come to the Oneonta Clinic or continue to meet with WIC staff remotely. Documents needed to enroll or re-certify can be scanned and emailed to wic@ofoinc.org or faxed to 607.433.8066. Copies may also be dropped off at the OFO main building in Oneonta. Click here to see how you can scan documents using Apple or Samsung products.
New parents say...
