Early Head Start believes that parents and guardians are a child’s first and best teacher and that you play a vital role in your child’s development and success. We encourage you to interact in all aspects of the home visiting experience and to take advantage of opportunities such as socializations and policy council. Our homevisiting team - home visitors, supervisors, and specialist - are here to support not only your child, but your entire family, on the journey to a successful transition to Head Start and beyond.

Early Head Start home visitors coordinate socializations twice a month for families and children to get together. Socializations offer activities, book, and meals revolved around different themes.
Becoming a new parent can be hard. It is normal to feel depressed, anxious, and overwhelmed after having a baby. You are not alone. It's important to remember that mental health challenges are common during this time and there is no shame in seeking help. If you need someone to talk to, call or text the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline at 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262) any time. It's free and confidential.
