“Dan’s leadership and mentorship over the years has been invaluable and I will wish him nothing but happiness and success in his future endeavors,” said Shalor. “I strive to continue our mission and am excited to work with our board of directors, community partners, funders, clients and staff in Opportunities for Otsego next chapter continuing our focus on client support and success to alleviate poverty through the numerous programs and services offered in Otsego County. Collaborations, partnerships, and teamwork are the key elements that will continue to make our clients and community thrive.”

We are fortunate to benefit from her leadership and are excited to see what she will do as Chief Executive Officer,” said Board of Directors President, Lisa Samols. “As the head of both the finance and human resources departments, Tanya is intimately familiar with how Opportunities for Otsego works. She has a clear vision for the agency’s future in the Otsego County community.”

Shalor received her Bachelor’s degree, with honors, in accounting from Elmira College. She is a graduate of the Leadership Otsego program and served on the Advisory Council for the organization for two years.
