WIC Welcomes You

Moms, dads, grandparents, and others caring for a child under 5 are welcome to participate in WIC

Meet Our Team

Heather, Program Manager

Heather is the WIC Program Manager and the current WIC Nutritionist. Her primary responsibility is to supervise staff and to make sure the program runs smoothly and in accordance with state guidelines and policies. Currently, she is also serving as Nutritionist and is the person participants speak with during appointments. Heather provides breastfeeding education, answers health and nutrition questions, and makes sure families understand the WIC benefits they are receiving. She offers referrals to community supports, makes adjustments to food packages, issues breast pumps, and collaborates with medical offices to secure special formula and ensure children are growing as expected. As needed, Heather steps in to answer the phones when participants call to make their initial or follow-up appointments.

Her favorite thing about WIC: Heather enjoys watching all the kids grow, is thankful to be a small part in the lives of WIC families, and is grateful for the opportunity to help those she can.
