Domestic Violence Intervention
Volunteers should be reliable, handle general office duties, and have good communication and organizational skills. Volunteers should be willing to learn and willing to sign a confidentiality agreement. Volunteer duties might include: providing day care, preparing packages of brochures to deliver and/or mail to community agencies, assemble intake packets as well as write thank you notes.

Emergency Services
Volunteers are needed at the food bank to help weigh, sort and inventory food.
Volunteers are also needed to assist staff with the pick up of food from local
grocery stores as well as delivery of food to pantries and feeding sites
throughout the county. We are currently looking for volunteers Monday -
Friday.

Volunteers in this program work at Opportunity House, our Emergency Housing
Facility. Volunteers answer hot line calls (after a short training), work
directly with shelter residents, read to the children in the shelter, drive
shelter residents (using an OFO van) to appointments as necessary as well as to
the Lord's Table. Opportunity House is open 7 days per week, and volunteers are
needed for all days, especially weekends.

Administration
Volunteers are needed in the Administration department for various
administrative tasks which include filing, reception, special projects, copying,
general accounting, and other routine office work. The department includes the
following functions: accounting, accounts payable, executive, human resources,
payroll, and the reception desk. We are currently looking for volunteers for
the normal work week of Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Volunteers can
work as many or as few hours on these days as they wish.
