What is UPK?

  • a pre-school program within participating school districts

Who is eligible?

  • Children within participating school districts who will be eligible for kindergarten by the following year are considered age eligible for UPK.

 

 

 

 

 

UPK experiences for the child include:

  • speech and language stimulation
  • music experiences
  • nutrition activities
  • creative arts
  • social experiences
  • outdoor play
  • problem solving
  • concept development
  • health screenings
     

 

 
 
 
 

 UPK experiences for the parent include:

  • volunteer opportunities
  • activities for both mom and dad
  • resource and referral services
