WIC provides supplemental food, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five. The program is linked to positive birth outcomes and enhances the overall health of pregnant women, new mothers, and infants.
Services offered by WIC:
- Checks for milk/milk substitute, vegetables, fruit, cheese, peanut butter, dry/canned beans, whole grain bread, eggs, infant formula, jarred baby food, and canned fish
- Additional foods for breastfeeding women, a peer counselor program, and hospital grade electric breast pumps to encourage and support breastfeeding
- Farmer's Market Coupons (seasonal)
- Information on healthy eating and wellness
- Referrals to supportive services

- Program Office/Main Clinic Site: 3 West Broadway, Oneonta
- Outreach Sites: Cherry Valley, Cooperstown, Oneonta (FoxCare Center) and Richfield Springs

- Oneonta/Main Clinic:
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday- Friday (except as noted below)
- 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday
- 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM, 4th Saturday of each month
- All Outreach Sites open 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM. Noon hour appointments available.
- Cherry Valley (Cherry Valley Community Center): 3rd Friday of every month
- Cooperstown (United Methodist Church): 2nd Tuesday of each month
- Oneonta (FoxCare Center): 3rd Monday of the month
- Richfield Springs (St. John's Episcopal Church): 1st Friday each month
